If we are to progress as a club we really need everyone attending training. We can discuss the merits of how and why Wellingboro are doing so well but if we just turn up and play on Saturday we can't expect miracles. This goes for 1st and 2nd team. Also when we are there everyone must put in 100% and be open to accept positive criticism. We all play to win on Saturday but the intensity for Saturday is developed on Wednesday.

Couldn't agree more.
It's important that we get off to a good start to the 2nd half of the league.
I am looking forward to indoor training - good for sharpness and intensity.

Unfortunately its only the same people who are really bothered/able to turn up season it season out and that accounts for about 4 players (can only speak for the1st team). Until the club has 9-10 core 1st team players that play and train week in week out for more than 1/2 a season your aspiration will be only that...and still not everyone will want the same. I'm not sure how we can change this, we have good quality coaching, pitch, facilities, cheapest in the county, what more do you want? i intend to enjoy what playing days i have left whether 1st or 2nd's and continue to put 100% and enjoy things like indoor training as we dont get to play it much. Come on you 2's push us oldies out of the 1st's...you can do it!

Totally agree Hawkins. I am one that doesn't go to training as I live 65 miles away and the work home balance does not enable me to make the commitment. Talking to the first team players that supported the seconds against Westleigh all said the same thing. The talent is there in the seconds we need to push on as a club and keep us going as the majority of the club are in the purple patch of their playing careers. The club will not survive if no one steps up to the firsts to continue the great tradition of Corby Hockey club, we never want to be another Kettering.
