So that our young players can experience playing some competitive matches we have entered the Northamptonshire Juniors tournament league this year. The first tournament is on Sunday, September 17th at Rugby.
We will be entering U8 and U10 teams in a series of matches, which take place on Sundays from September through to May.
It roughly works out as one match per month so will hopefully not be too much of a time commitment. These games will really help to bring your child’s hockey on and will give them real match experience against other teams.
We will be playing against teams from around the local area including Kettering, Market Harborough, Northampton and Rugby.
The U8s play in mixed (boys and girls) teams of 4 and the U10s play in mixed teams of 7.
Every junior member who wants to play can do and we will ensure that everyone is part of a squad.

How to enter the tournaments

To organise who is going to each tournament we have set up an online Google Drive document. (You will need a google account to edit this. Otherwise please email dates your child would like to play to sfouracre77@gmail.com)

Please enter your child’s name in the relevant column if they are able to come along and play.
The entry cost per tournament is £3 (payable on the day).

Venues

The first tournament is on Sunday, September 17th and unfortunately as you will see the first two tournaments are at the other side of the county. We will however have a home fixture on Sunday, December 3rd.
We would really appreciate if you could support these tournaments as it would be great to field both U8 and U10 sides in all fixtures. If you would like your child to go but are unable to transport them there then please speak to Sarah Ward at training.

As we start to have older juniors (aged 12-16) come along to our sessions we will enter teams into the older age groups.

Parent managers
To help with the team coordination we are looking for parent managers for the U8 and U10 sides. Your help would be much appreciated. It is not a hugely onerous task (will involve sending out a few emails, and collecting match fees). If you are interested please talk to Sarah Ward at training.
