Local Derby won easy.
Corby proved to much to handle for Kettering in the Local derby, the last game before the Christmas break. A great display from Corby who are sitting in a great position in the league with only 3 point in it for pole position the table is very very close. Corby were quick off the blocks & the first goal came within 10 minutes from Striker Simon Davey. Midfield were controlling much of the game & Kettering were really struggling to control the game in any shape or form goals were to follow from Owen Dunn. Corby went into half time on a comfortable 3-0 on the scoreboard with skipper Scott Mulligan slotting away a lovely strike from well worked short corner. In the second half the pace of Corby was unstoppable Kettering were fighting hard from there own half and very rarely troubled the Corby defense after only minutes into the second half Davey struck again with a nice tap past the Kettering keeper who was being well worked . Then goals were to follow from Young Aiden Elliott who had been trying very hard all match to shake off his marker to score a well deserved goal shortly followed by a nice goal from Simon Evans who had made his return from injury. A very comfortable win for Corby who will have a well deserved rest before returning on the 14th January to play Leicester Westleigh who punished Corby on there first game of the season so Corby are eagerly awaiting the return match.
