Corby were at home to Loughborough which proved to be a difficult game youthful Loughborough played some good hockey but found it difficult to make some quality passes Corby found that Loughborough were under the cosh from the start with exceptional play was being done from the Corby midfield from Man of the match Richard Lashbrooke who done some fantastic work. Corby kept the pressure up for most of the first half & drew a short corner and from a well rehearsed short corner Richard Lashbrooke slotted away a lovely goal. The second half seen Loughborough come out eager to score a goal but Corby defense done well holding back the pressing forwards . The pace of the game was really good with Loughborough trying very hard to get into the Corby goal area. 20 minutes from the end Loughborough pressed hard & their efforts were rewarded after a Corby defender took the pace off the ball enough to allow a Loughborough striker pick up the ball & slot it away. Corby Keeper Dave Cherry kept Loughborough out a few times making up for last weeks school boy errors. good result considering Next Week Corby are away to Nuneaton who were beat by Nottingham today it will be an interesting game.
