Sloppy Goalkeeping lets off Nottingham
Corby was at home for the return game with Nottingham after beating them 4-1 the first game. Corby however was short of three of their key players & having to rely on their younger players to secure a win. Nottingham played the majority of the game with fewer players due to poor discipline & receiving 3 yellow cards & 1 red card... Corby took the lead after 10 minutes when Adam Duell stopped the ball outside the D took it in & slammed it home only to have Nottingham dispute this which resulted in yellow cards being produced. Another goal follow shortly after this a fantastic through ball from Striker Simon Davey to fellow Striker Owen Dunn who done a lovely reverse stick & slammed it in the back corner of the Nottingham Goal. After half time Nottingham came out pressing very hard to recover the difference. 15 Minutes from the end Center back Phil Rowebottom got caught just above the eye which resulted in a visit to A&E & putting addition pressure on the Corby defence. 10 minutes from the end of the game Nottingham scored due to sloppy goal keeping. With 5 minutes left on the clock Corby Keeper Dave Cherry done a spectacular save from the bottom left post then went from hero to Zero by letting in the equaliser. Corby has no game next week but is looking forward to their return game against Mansfield on 11th February at the Corby Business academy.
