A sad day for all
It saddens me to have to inform you all of the death of Brian Foley earlier this morning.
Brian was a stalwart of Corsham RFC for over 40 years, firstly as a player and sometime team captain, and in later years as a vice president, benefactor and supporter. Brian was responsible for obtaining sponsorship for a number of years thus enabling the 1st XV to have a new set of jerseys each season and he could be relied upon to be in attendance most Saturdays to watch matches, no matter the weather or the quality of the rugby on offer.
A minute’s silence will be held before the start of both senior games this weekend as a mark of respect.
I am sure everyone who knew Brian will join me is offering our sincere condolences to his wife Mary, their sons Richard and Duncan and their families.
I will post another messages when the funeral details are known.
