AFC Telford 6-0 Coton Green
U16s taught a lesson in clinical finishing
The U16s failed to deliver any form of performance away at Telford.
The Coton cause was not helped losing Harry Smith shortly after kick but poor individual errors proved very, very costly as AFC Telford took full advantage of 3 gift wrapped goals.
Taking nothing away from a very good Telford side made up of lots of boys with professional academy experience, and in truth, they were better than the Green Army lads, but 6-0 was a little flattering and without the 3 gifts, 3-0 was probably a fair reflection. There were lots of average performances but again Bradley Savage stepped up to the plate and delivered another solid performance.
If the U16s are to progress they firstly, cut out the repeated poor individual errors need to then try and listen and take on instructions before the game and at half time and also transfer the development shown in training into games.
H/T 4-0 and F/T 6-0 left the U16s with a lot to mull over heading into the half term break next week.
Next up is a tough trip to Leicestershire to face Beaumont Town.
