Coventry Sphinx ladies all set for the new season

Fixtures announced

Our club is growing all the time and that is highlighted by the addition of a ladies team to the teams proudly wearing the sky blue and white shirts of Coventry Sphinx Football Club.

They will be managed by Simon Hooper and they will be playing their home fixtures at Sphinx Drive. The Sphinx ladies will be competing in the West Midland Regional League Division 1 South with their home fixtures scheduled for 2pm on Sunday afternoons. They will be up against teams such as Coventry Development ladies, Rugby Town and other established midlands teams.

The fixtures have already been released for the 2017/18 season and they start their league campaign at Sphinx Drive in September.

Opening fixtures:

Sunday 3rd September, 2pm - Coventry Sphinx v Gornal

Sunday 10th September, 2pm - Kidderminster Harriers v Coventry Sphinx

Sunday 17th September, 2pm - Coventry Development Ladies v Coventry Sphinx

Sunday 24th September, 2pm - Coventry Sphinx v Droitwich Spa

They would love your support so why not come along to Sphinx Drive on a Sunday afternoon and support ladies football. Manager Simon Hooper has been working hard with his squad in pre-season training and already has 20 players signed up ahead of the new season.

Emily Rose Aston, Bobbie-Jade Baker, Paige Cardill, Natalie Chadney, Stephanie Dagnall, Xena Dhillon, Katherine Rose Ellis, Dion Germaine, Penny Goode, Georgina Hitchcox, Charlotte Hooper, Chloe Jones, Rebekah Jones, Lucy Patricia McGuiness, Bonnie Jade Mountford, Brenna Ruffley, Amy Sidwell, Lydia Smith, Laura Stevenson, Lucinda Stevenson.

The Coventry Sphinx men’s team, Coventry Sphinx Youth team and the Coventry Sphinx Ladies team will all be action at Sphinx Drive throughout the season so there are lots of opportunities to watch football at our home ground.
