The Birmingham FA have released the draw for the Joel Richards Memorial Cup (formerly the Midweek Youth Cup) and Coventry Sphinx Under 18’s have been handed an away tie at Bedworth United.
The tie will be played at The Bedworth Oval on week commencing 8th October. Bedworth also compete alongside Coventry Sphinx in the Midland Floodlit Youth League Eastern Division so it will be a local derby between two sides who are already familiar with each other.
Connections include midfielder Alex Bonkar who transferred from Coventry Sphinx to Bedworth Utd early in the season. Another familiar face to Sphinx supporters will be Robbie Banks. Robbie is a former Coventry Sphinx first team manager and he is now involved with the Bedworth Utd Youth set up.
Precise details of the tie will be released as soon as we have confirmation of a date and kick off time.
