League line up was confirmed at the AGM on Monday

Once again Coventry Sphinx take their place in the MFL Premier Division at Step 5 of National Non-League Pyramid and the league promises to be as competitive as ever. Clubs such as Worcester City, Rugby Town and Bromsgrove Sporting join the division as well as South Normanton Athletic and Haughmond.
Leaving the division are Champions Alvechurch who take a well deserved promotion after finishing runners up to Hereford the previous season. The three relegated clubs are Brocton, Tividale and Walsall Wood. One further departure is Leicester club St Andrews who have been moved across to the United Counties Premier Division by the FA.

We’ll now take you through the full line up of clubs in the Midland Football League Premier Division.
AFC WULFRUNIANS: Last season - 17th, MFL PREMIER
The Wulfs looked in danger of relegation but an improved end of the season meant they finished 3 points above the drop zone and secured a 5th successive season at this level.

BOLDMERE ST MICHAELS: Last season - 12th, MFL PREMIER
The Mikes finished comfortably in mid table after a season of disruption caused by delays to the completion of their new 3G pitch. This resulted in 14 consecutive away fixtures to start their season. They will begin their 24th successive season at this level hoping to get back into the familiar territory of the top 10.

BROMSGROVE SPORTING: Last season - 1st, MFL DIVISION 1
Promoted as Champions and unbeaten in the process, FA Vase semi-finalists and a surge in attendances all combined to create a memorable season for Bromsgrove. They will be expected to be competing at the top end of the table again this season.

COLESHILL TOWN: Last season - 2nd, MFL PREMIER
The North Warwickshire club made the Semi-Finals of the FA Vase and finished 6 points behind league winners Alvechurch to fall just short of promotion. They will be hoping to go one better this time around.

COVENTRY SPHINX: Last season - 10th, MFL PREMIER
Sphinx completed the 10th season at this level in a comfortable mid table position. We will be looking to continue our improvement in the coming season.

COVENTRY UTD: Last season - 7th, MFL PREMIER
A creditable finishing position in their first season at this level of football and they will be expected to be at the right end of the table again.

HAUGHMOND: Last season - 1st, West Midlands Premier Division
The Shropshire club arrive in the MFL Premier as Champions for their first stint at this level.

HEANOR TOWN: Last season - 6th, MFL PREMIER
The Derbyshire club achieved a second top 6 placing in a row since joining the league. No reason to suggest they won’t be up there again this season.

HIGHGATE UTD: Last season - 9th, MFL PREMIER
Another top 10 finish for the Solihull club since re-joining the Premier Division. In the 2013/14 season they achieved a 3rd place finish so they are more than capable of mixing it at the top of the league.

LONG EATON UTD: Last season - 14th, MFL PREMIER
An improved season after flirting with relegation the previous season and they will be looking to continue that improvement again.

LOUGHBOROUGH UNIVERSITY: Last season - 18th, MFL PREMIER
A disappointing campaign for the students who finished one point above the relegation zone. On their day they are capable of beating anyone in this division.

LYE TOWN: Last season - 4th, MFL PREMIER
They followed up an 8th place finish with a 4th place finish last season to firmly establish themselves in the division after gaining promotion from the West Midlands Premier Division.

QUORN: Last season - 11th, MFL PREMIER
A solid season ended in a mid table finish for the Leicestershire club. They will be hoping to get back towards the top end of the table next season.

ROCESTER: Last season - 16th, MFL PREMIER
They continue their run at this level and start next season with 12 years at Step 5 behind them. The last 5 years have ended with a bottom half finish but they have won this division before in 2003/04.

RUGBY TOWN: Last season - 21st, NPL Division 1 South
A big name club joins the division after suffering relegation. They have an outstanding stadium and set up that would be the envy of many in this division. Fully expected to be in the title shake up.

SHAWBURY UTD: Last season - 19th, MFL PREMIER
Stayed up on goal difference in their first season at this level after gaining promotion from the West Midlands Premier Division to end their 16 year run at that level.

SHEPSHED DYNAMO: Last season - 15th, MFL PREMIER
One of the best supported clubs in the league but a disappointing lower mid table finish for them last season. They are familiar with a higher level of football too so they will be eager to return to the higher reaches of the league.

SOUTH NORMANTON ATHLETIC: Last season - 2nd, EMCL
Promoted from the East Midlands Counties League. Another Derbyshire club joins the league for the first time.

SPORTING KHALSA: Last season - 3rd, MFL PREMIER
Since gaining promotion to the MFL Premier Division they have achieved two top 3 finishes so they are expected to be in the title race again. They also made it to the FA Vase quarter finals last season.

STOURPORT SWIFTS: Last season - 13th MFL PREMIER
After being relegated from the Southern League, Swifts have had a few years of mid table finishes.

WESTFIELDS: Last season - 5th MFL PREMIER
The Hereford club had a flying start to last season but they had to settle for a 5th place finish in the end. They also had an incredible FA Cup run that took them to the 1st round.

WORCESTER CITY: Last season - 20th National League North
Another big club joins us after suffering a three division drop. Worcester currently ground share at fellow Premier Division club Bromsgrove and despite their recent struggles they are expected to be in the promotion picture.

22 teams and just one guaranteed promotion spot up for grabs makes this division incredibly tough. There are established clubs alongside big clubs arriving via relegation and promotion so an exciting season is ahead of us.
