Coventry Sphinx will hole their annual Presentation at the Sphinx Club May 9th its free to all. So make a date in your diary....

Start thinking about your Player Of The Season as votes will be asked for ovr the coming weeks. Voting slips are available at the next two home games from Jonas café.

To give you some help heres a few pointers on a few of our current crop of players.

Carl O’Neill probably in the top 3 goalkeepers in the league great shot stopper and commands his back four well. Don’t think theres a keeper in the league better in a one on one situation

Luke Downes currently top scorer at the club with 14 goals which is great haul for a midfield player on his day he is up there with the best in the league and still only 19.

Jack Rooney coupled with the games he plays at Youth Team level Jack has played over 50 games for the club this season played at right back, centr half and centre midfield and always gives 100%

Matt Taylor former Youth Team player who returned to the club from Alvis took a while to settle in but since going in against Wulfurians at centre half he has hardly put a foot wrong good in the air reads the game well and comfortable coming forward with the ball.

Gio Dainty Mr Consistent hardly has a bad game great energy good in the air and good delivery into the box another who has played in various positions for the club.

Ash Jackson Captain of the club and leads by example strong in the tackle great fitness levels and gets his fair share of goals.

So theres a few for you to ponder over but I may of missed your favourite out…..so will Carlo retain his Supporters Player Of The Year that he won alongside Adam Sullivan or will there be a new name to add to the illustrious list.

After the presentation there will be a chance to win some money with play Your Cards Right and a late bar to boot.
