January fixtures released for U18s

After a Christmas break, the Coventry Sphinx Under 18s get back to action on Thursday evening hoping to continue the form they showed before the turn of the year. They couldn’t have asked for a bigger game to restart their season with Bedworth United the visitors to Sphinx Drive on Thursday 10th January.
Barrow Town are clear at the top of the Midland Floodlit Youth League Eastern Division and second place Coventry Sphinx need to win this local derby against third place Bedworth to put pressure on the leaders. Early in the season Bedworth were victorious against Coventry Sphinx in a cup competition at the Bedworth Oval and both sides have gone on to have good league seasons so far.
Coventry Sphinx Youth team games have frequently been full of goals and good attacking football so Thursday’s match is well worth attending at Sphinx Drive. Admission prices are just £3 for Adults with Under 16s admitted free of charge. The Bar will be open as usual and hot food and drinks will also be available. The Youth team fixtures have been extremely well attended this season so if you haven’t watched our Under 18s yet then now is the time.
The schedule for January has also been released and Coventry Sphinx Youth have another home fixture this month as well as a couple of away trips. On Monday 14th January, Coventry Sphinx will travel to Lichfield City before returning to Sphinx Drive on Thursday 24th January for a home match against Racing Club Warwick. They complete the month with a trip to Nottingham on Thursday 31st January.
