Cowling getting the call Saturday morning telling them that odsal was pulling out the league so king cross first team had no game know then this match was going to be tough but really put the game to the Halifax side and they didn’t like it one bit.
The game started with kings cross centre going in for two tries down cowlings right side but then the quins woke up and put real pressure on the kings line when George long powered over and Daz Greenwood kicked the two it got even better for the quins when man of the match Craig Nicholson went in to give cowling a massive boost Greenwood converted the goal.
And with the harlequins finally finding there rhythm Long went over again and greenwood goaled but the Halifax side showed there fitness in the higher leagues and stung the quins but cowling was full of spirit and was not going to give up.
Facko wary,Nicky Smith and Ali Feather all worked very hard getting cowling forward and Josh Jolley who was having a wow of a game powered over for a great try and Greenwood converted the two with loads of confidence flowing through the quins team Ben Norton,Ash Wood and Nathan Parkin went through the pain barrier to get cowling close and Greenwood with his trademark dummy dived over the line but missed the two.
