Bro hit Berffro for 6

Bro Goronwy 1.6 CPD Aberffraw

Berffro travelled to Moelfre for a local derby in good spirits and with a near full strength squad to choose from lastSaturday

Playing against the wind in the firts half in tough conditions Berffro started well but Bro grew into the game and as the half went on they dominated all areas of the pitch. It was only Gavin Roberts's heroics in goal that kept Bro out in the early encounters as Bro created chance after chance. The deadlock was broken on 30 min as Bro found a way past Roberts. Berffro would have been happy to come in 1.0 dowm at half time but disaster struck as Bro got an second and third on 42 and 45 minutes.

Berffro knew they would have to dig deep in the second half and with Andrew Jones coming on at half time felt they could get a way back especially with the wind behind them. Disaster struck on 47 minutes as Bro netted a 4th a strike which seemed to be going wide was wind assisted passed the helpless Roberts. To be fair to Bro their mix of youth and experience dominated the second half as Berffro just couldnt get going, players were well below par and by now heads were dropping. Bro notched their 5th and 6th with ease but credit to Berffro they rallied and had a late consilation on 85 min through a Matty Reynolds header. Bro came out on the day deserved 6.1 winners.

Man of the match was Iwan Roberts and the matchwas sponsired by Coeden Developments.

To put it into context Bro Goronwy are a good side on their day and Saturday was certainly their day and not many teams will visit Cae Nerys and come away with much. Berffro have had the best start to a season since they returned to Saturday football and the lads know that it just wasnt good enough on Saturday. We dust ourselves down now and have a free week before we travel to Talysarn where we certainly need a positive reaction. We sit nicely in third place so there is no panics but we have to make sure we learn from Saturday as this squad is capable of big things this season.

Head up lads - we go again!
