DMM was founded in 1981 by four climbers who aimed to make the best height safety equipment possible. Located at the foot of the Llanberis pass in North Wales, our desire to instil quality, safety and innovation in every product we manufacture remains as strong as ever.

Several of the founding members continue to play pivotal roles at DMM, enriching the company with their wealth of manufacturing expertise. Our highly skilled workforce is passionate about the products we manufacture, the techniques used to create them, and the industries they serve. We value these individuals as the lifeblood of the company, nurturing the talents that have made DMM a leader in its field.

We have always manufactured hardware for industrial as well as recreational use. Strong relationships with experts in arborism, rope access, height safety, and technical rescue help us create products that excel in these areas. Feedback and testing with these partners ensures our equipment exceeds both the legal standards and real-world demands of the people who entrust their lives to our equipment on a daily basis.
