United's young fullback Gruffydd John Williams has been selected to represent the Welsh Semi Pro Under 18’s. Gruff will travel with the Welsh Squad to face Ireland on February 15th, under the management team led by Mr Terry Boyle.

Gruff recently represented the Welsh Schools Football Association at Under 18 level, where he played in two uncapped practice matches against English Colleges Under 19’s and Australia Under 18’s. As a result he has been selected for the final squad for the forthcoming Victory Shield Tournament against the England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

A versatile young player, who can operate equally well in any position on the field. At the age of sixteen Gruff joined the CPD Llanrug United FC in August 2010, following a couple of appearances for the Reserve side he stepped up and made the right back position his own for the first team in the Welsh Alliance League.

This season Gruff is a prominent member and captain of the North Wales Coast Football Association Under 18's side.

Officials, Players and Supporters of CPD Llanrug United FC congratulate and are very proud of Gruff and wish him the very best of luck.
