Defeat in first competitive game for Reserves.

Mynydd reserves 1 v 3 Holyhead town

Result
Mynydd reserves 1 v 3 Holyhead town FC

With this being the first game for both new teams in the Anglesey league, both sides were looking for a good start to the campaign. The game started at a frantic pace and continued at this level for an hour. The first half had both teams struggling to maintain possession and the chances were few and far between. Mynydd's keeper (Dafydd Hari) making a quality save in the first half to keep the game at 0-0, whilst mynydd created some half chances the game stayed level at half time.
The second half again continued with both teams finding it hard to play good football, but after the hour mark mynydd reserves took the lead through a Liam Owen header ,only for it to be ruled offside. This scare seemed to shake Holyhead town back into life and they managed to take the lead almost immediately. A further 2 quick goals in quick succession practically killed the game off , until a late consolation goal from Marc Williams gave the game a more accurate scoreline. Good luck to Holyhead for the rest of the season.

Overall a great performance from the lads but the result didn't go our way . As a team in our first competitive game we showed what we are capable of and what talent we have throughout the team. Heads up lads.

Well done lads.on to llangoed now.

We go again.
