The club are unable to find the £3000 rent that Treetops are demanding for shared use of the football field. As such we have been asked to leave with a seven day notice.
The club now need to find a venue to play the remainder of home games this season, for all teams ranging from under 7s to under 14s, until we can find a permanent home.
As a non profit making club, with all club officials giving their time free of charge to help grassroots football in the community we are very disappointed with the decision by Treetops.
Tynygongl have enjoyed their time at Treetops but have to look to the future and the development of the club. We are in negotiations with several local people to find a new home to ensure the future of the club.
Such a shame, but don't they realise that they probably made £3000 on all the events that we ran at Treetops which is much more than we made, Time to move on and we will be a better club with a field without any restrictions.
It is a shame its come to this but it will be a new beginning for Tynygongl FC. We have many supporters including parents, families, friends and local people and with their help we can be a more successful club with our own field!
What a fantastic end to our time at Treetops - both U7's and U11's having brilliant games, and amazing support from everyone there!! Thank you kids for an excellent morning!
Well done kids, you made us very proud this morning! It was a very emotional day, it was sad to leave treetops. We need to turn this into a positive now and im sure it will be the making of tynygongl fc. Although a great shame that kids have to suffer because of money.... £3,000 was just far too much for us to pay out a year. Never mind.... Fresh start now! X
Thank you to all officials at Tynygongl FC for everything you do for the boys. I know Owain would be devastated if he couln't play for his team anymore. Just thinking about it - would it be feesable to pursue with asking Storws Wen if they can help as there is a Clubhouse with Bar and upstairs spacious Function Room to hold the Clubs functions ? Just a thought !!
Diolch - Gwyneth (mam Owain)
Thank you to all coaches and managers. It is a huge shame that things have come to this as at the end of the day it is the kids that are loosing out .... Dion is truly gutted that we no longer have a ground to call our home.... i just hope after all the years he has been at the club we CAN find another ground to call our own and that the Abbotts family continue the good work they do for the club. xxx
It's such a shame that we have to leave tree tops I'm really gutted that we had to leave but we'll find a new field. We played well in our last game there. We can't raise that kind of money.
Dont be sad ,think about the new ground which will be exclusively ours,It will happen, and we wont look back once.
All the kids that attend training and matches are winners and thoroughly enjoy it, which only means that what Bill, the coaches, the staff and parents, and anyone else do, is successful and if that does'nt work for some people we will take Tynygongl fc's success to where it will be wanted , appreciated and enjoyed by all for years to come.
Well done everyone.
Excellent last games at Treetops! Excellent turnout! New pitch new start. Keep up the good work everyone involved. All about teamwork!
Well said Steve. Dyfed cant wait to have a field of our own to play. It will be so much better, we can do whatever we want anywhere we like! X
