Cray Wanderers Youth U21s make it through to NRG Gyms U21 League Championship Playoff Final

Many congratulations to Ken Lodge's Cray Wanderers Youth U21s side which on Saturday afternoon made it through to the Championship Final following a 5-2 aggregate victory over Tankerton U21s at Mottingham Playing Fields.

They will now face Herne Bay U21s who defeated Greenwich Borough U21s 5-4 on aggregate after extra time and will play the Wands on Saturday 2nd May with the game to be played at SevenoaksTown's Greatness Park.

On Saturday (18th April) the young Wands pulled off another superb win to take them through to the championship final. The Wands went into the game with a 2-0 lead from the away leg. A tight first half ended goalless with Cray applying a lot of pressure with Tankerton's goalkeeper having to pull off some great saves.

The second half however Cray opened up their defence time and time again and finally Sesay popped up to score two well taken goals. Cray were coasting until a poor decision by the linesman gave a penalty for handball when it clearly hit the chest of Ngaka which made it 2-1. Sesay then burst through Tankerton's defence and was hacked down to give Cray a penalty which Sesay scored to complete his hat-trick. Tankerton scored a late goal to make it 3-2 but by that time the game was over with Cray winning 5-2 on aggregate
