Ian Daly is a former Ireland U21 International and played for Ireland at every age from U15 to U21. The talented Striker started his career at Manchester City as a Youth and played professionally in Greece, Spain and Ireland. He then joined Conference side Bromley which is where he first worked with Cray Wanderers Manager Keith Bird. Last season Ian was at Dulwich Hamlet.
On signing Daly Cray Wanderers Manager Bird said 'Ian and I are thrilled to be working together again. There is a lot of mutual respect between us. Ian was the first call I made when we took over at Cray last season but unfortunately he had only just committed to Dulwich Hamlett 2 weeks before our appointment. I am therefore delighted that Ian has signed for us this season. He is a quality player and will compliment Shaun Welford brilliantly who we also signed recently'.
Steve Springett joins from Kent League side Cray Valley. Manager Bird said 'We had Steve watched a number of times last season and were very impressed by the reports we were getting back on him. He was therefore a key target for us at Center Back this season'. Prior to Cray Valley Steve has been at Erith & Belverdere, Avely, Ashford Town and Ebbsfleet where he was given a contract having impressed while playing for the Ebbsfleet Academy.
Louis Sprosen will be a familiar face to Cray Wanderers fans having been a popular player at the club previously. Last season Louis was at Hythe Town. Louis has also been at Erith & Belvedere, Beckenham Town and before that was full time at AFC Wimbledon after graduating from the Bromley Academy. 'Louis is a great utility player being able to play upfront, in midfield or even as fullback so he gives us lots of options. His desire to play for us and his enthusiam for the plans we have for the club really impressed me and Mike Paye'. said Bird.
