First season comes to an end.

So this bank holiday brought the curtain down on a fantastic inaugural season for crieghton minis.
Friendships have been created and memories made all season long, our hope is that this continues to grow and grow leading into the future. Rugby is a sport that forms bonds for life and can help build a youngsters character to give them the determination and confidence to deal with the big wide world.
We have had success on the training pitch regularly getting big numbers on a Sunday morning, it makes the coaches job so much easier when the kids turn up as they do full of enthusiasm and eager to learn, even when the weather wasn’t with us for a longer period than normal.
We traveled far and wide throughout Cumbria regularly attending festivals, a special thanks to the parents here for committing to travelling and the expense that brings with it. At each festival the players made a great account of themselves and behaved brilliantly.
We held two of our own festivals this season which took a lot of planning and hard work to organise but on the day we welcomed nearly 100 players on each occasion and the feedback I got from the other teams was very positive and complementary.
The end of the season drew closer and a trip was planned for the kids to see a top level premiership rugby match between Newcastle and Northampton. The occasion was great fun with the team enjoying the party atmosphere around the ground before hand and during the game, again the kids behaviour was of the highest quality. The bus only got lost four or five times on the return journey.
So in summary I would like to thank you all for your hard work and help throughout the season, hope you have a great summer. We will be organising get togethers throughout the summer playing a variety of sports and games so please keep in contact for further information on this.
Last point please please please spread the word and get as many new faces as we can for next season.
