Creighton youth growing and growing.

This weekend of remembrance was marked across the county by many including the youth teams of many our rugby union teams.
Creighton RUFC held there under 8s festival at Sycamore Lane in the city, 9 teams attended from all over Cumbria with games taking place over four pitches. All involved took part in a minutes silence to start the day off remember those who gave their lives so we could enjoy days such as these. All the games were played with great effort by all, even the bad weather couldn't dampen any spirits. There was some fantastic skills on show from all and if this is the future of Cumbria rugby then I think everyone in attendance would agree that the future holds exciting times ahead.
A massive effort from all the volunteers made the day a success and their efforts are greatly appreciated by all.
Our under 10s team ventured further a field, heading to the south of the county to play at Kendal RUFC u10 festival. In terrible weather the squad made a great account of themselves and played some exciting rugby the traveling army of fans enjoyed watching from under the umbrellas.
Creighton Rugby is a developing youth section and welcomes new player to join the ranks, we have teams from under 7 to under 10s. Training is on a Sunday morning at 10:30 for an hour. Membership is just £10 for the season! Spread the word!
