First Team manager Sara Hilton gives her thoughts following Sunday's penalty shootout defeat at The New Saints Ladies

"The first half performance wasn't good enough. We were very reactive instead of our usual proactive. Although there were moments of good play I don't feel we really showcased ourselves. The players had a lot to prove second half and in all fairness, rectify some of the issues from the first half. We showed more composure on the ball and looked to play through the thirds and get our wide players on the ball and driving inside. Again, the goals conceded were from our mistakes".

"In spite of this I was happy to see all the players reacting the way they did after half time. They recognised the first half performance wasn't good enough and looked to fix the problems which, as their manager, is all I can ask of them. There were some great individual performances but we we just couldn't come together collectively on the day".

"Well done to TNS, I wish them all the best this season and for their next cup game. We now look ahead to a tough away fixture against Hull City, but we're fully prepared for the challenge and are looking forward to the game".
