Following a meeting last night Cromer Town Football Club had hoped to be able to announce that enough bodies had come forward in the past two weeks to enable the club continue. Unfortunately this is not the case however it is not completely doom and gloom.
Individuals have come forward to apply for the role of Chairman and Secretary as well as a couple of general committee member vacancies, however there is still the need for more bodies to come forward to take on the Treasurer role and other committee member positions. There has also been a few individuals come forward who would be prepared to support in a non-committee member capacity.
Some of the contact has also highlighted some exciting possibilities for a new committee to pursue with regards to fundraising opportunities and progressing the club forward on and off the field, as well as contact regarding the vacant managers position. But of course none of these things can be explored until there is a sufficient number of people in the officer and committee member positions.
The club are now asking that anyone who wishes to apply for any of the vacant roles makes contact with the club before 24th June. The club will then hold a committee meeting the following week to review any further applications and then liaise with these people regarding a proposal for nominations for the Annual General Meeting. The AGM will be held during the week commencing 10th July (date to be confirmed). In the event that insufficient bodies come forward to fill the positions the current committee would be forced to propose that the club is wound up.
Anyone wishing to apply to a officer or committee position or willing to help the future committee in any way please contact Chairman Paul Jarvis (01603 631201 or 07814495081) or Secretary Richard Cox (07939327871, email@example.com)
