Cropredy Reserves maintained their winning start in OSL Division Two after defeating Eynsham Reserves on Saturday. Cropredy started brightly and had Eynsham on the back foot from the off, Ryan Carter hit the cross bar with a fierce drive and Damien Gourley had a great chance from a one on one but the Eynsham keeper saved well. But it wasn't until the 40th minute before Cropredy finally opened the scoring, Ryan Carter played the ball through to Damien Gourley who slotted the ball past the Eynsham keeper to give the home side the lead.
The second half started with Cropredy putting plenty of pressure on the Eynsham backline, Luke Bedding whipped in a corner and skipper Chris England headed the ball home to double Cropredy's lead. Bedding soon had another assist, a dangerous run down the left wing ended with a pinpoint cross to Ryan Carter who volleyed the ball into the net via the crossbar. A forth soon followed as Eynsham were caught on the counter attack with Craig Kingham finishing off a neat move to give the home side a comfortable 4-0 lead. Cropredy allowed Eynsham back into the game after some lapses of concentration saw the away side get two quick fire goals, keeper Wayne Gubbins spilled the ball on the line leaving the opposition striker an easy tap in, one minute later they their 2nd. Eynsham upped the tempo as they tried to claw themselves back into the game, in the final minute they made it 4-3 to setup a nervy finish but Cropredy held on and picked up the 3 points.
