Crosfields will play Blackpool in the division 4 final with a 10am kick off.

The North West Men’s League will come to a climax this weekend with Saturday’s Grand Finals Day at the Select Security Stadium promising to be a thrilling display of amateur rugby.

Ten teams from across the North West will be battling for silverware across five finals, having impressed across the course of the regular season and play-offs.

NWML Chairman Stuart Prior said: “I’m looking forward to welcoming players, officials and spectators alike to the home of Widnes Vikings on Saturday for what promises to be a thrilling end to the season.

“There have been many tremendous matches in the Men’s League this year and Saturday’s event, featuring ten equally passionate and determined teams, should prove to be no different.

“Saturday’s event is a great opportunity for the players and teams to demonstrate the quality of our league and I would encourage spectators to come and enjoy the action on offer.

“Finally on behalf of the league I would like to say a massive thank our partners Network Rail and wish all the teams competing this weekend the very best of luck.”

The showpiece event will get underway at 10am when Blackpool Scorpions and Crosfields A go head to head for the right to be crowned champions of Division Four.

In Divison Three, table toppers Orrell St James will take on Widnes Tigers at midday, the Tigers being one of three Widnes based sides who will be looking to draw energy from the crowd in their quest for success.

Having edged out Latchford last weekend, third placed Leigh Miners A will be looking to get the better of their rivals St Patricks A in the Division Two Grand Final at 2pm.

Meanwhile in Divison One, Bold Miners and Heysham Atoms both enjoyed relatively comfortable wins in the Play-Off Semi Finals to earn their place in the Division One Grand Final which kicks off at 4pm.

The day will come to a crescendo at 6pm with an all-Widnes affair when League Leaders West Bank will take on second placed rivals St Maries in Grand Final of the Premier Division.

Admission to North West Men’s League Grand Finals Day is priced at just £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.

The event is brought to you by partners Network Rail and Rail Life. Remember, the railways are a dangerous place so stay off the tracks and be safe.
