Work needs to be done.
Over the last five seasons or so work has been carried out on the first team pitch during the break from one season ending and the next season beginning.
All those who come to the games played on the pitch will have noticed the progress made on the condition of the pitch year-on-year and there's no doubt it's worth doing.
With that in mind further work has been carried out this summer, as can be seen in the picture, and the club would like to thank Dave Bristow, Clive Maynard, Paul Boggis and Malcolm Simpson for their efforts, which are still on-going as now plenty of water is needed whilst the rest of us are enjoying the relative sunny and dry period we are currently going through.
