David Hardcastle won the star prize in the raffle and he went home with a 50" LG television after watching his daughter play for our girls U13 team.

The Fiesta came of age last weekend.
The Crowborough Athletic FC Youth Section hosted its 18th Annual Football Fiesta at Alderbrook on Saturday and Sunday, 14/15th May.
This year's Fiesta yet again proved to be a huge success with boys and girls teams, ranging from U7 to U14, taking part and having a thoroughly enjoyable time.
We had 18 x U7 teams and 21 x U8 teams playing non competitive matches and in total we had over 370 fixtures played by the 144 teams across nine age groups including U13 girls.
The Fiesta has become a traditional event for many clubs and once again it attracted large crowds who seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves over the two days.
There's no doubt that the Fiesta gives the club the opportunity to showcase itself and this would not be possible without its members and numerous volunteers who work so hard over both days.
All the boys and girls taking part also demonstrated what grassroots football is all about in an extremely positive way.
It was also clear for everyone to see that the Fiesta yet again demonstrated Crowborough Athletic's continuing drive to maintain its position at the heart of the community; ensuring young people are given the opportunity to play, learn, experience and enjoy playing football.
This year's teams, some traveling long distances, came from across Sussex, Kent and Surrey to take part and it was great to see the continuation of a girls competition played out between six clubs.
On Sunday, the club were joined by Clare Nichols from the Sussex County FA, who passed on her congratulations to the Fiesta Committee and expressed her pleasure at seeing the six girls teams taking part.
At the climax of proceedings for the U7 and U8 age groups and In the spirit of encouraging participation, irrespective of ability, all boys and girls received commemorative medals. The smiles on their faces was a joy to see.
All the other age groups had to battle it out against stiff competition to determine who won the right to lift the winners trophy. After playing some fantastic football the following teams gratefully accepted the accolades and honours.

The club received many plaudits on the day and via many social media outlets over the following days, however, the following quote was supplied by Gavin Paisley from Nutley FC: Thank you, thank you, thank you to you and your team. The tournament was brilliant. We all really enjoyed ourselves. The organisation was spot on and everyone, refs, organisers, parents and children were very friendly.
Why not keep an eye out for details of our 19th Fiesta next year and enter a team if you've not previously done so.
