The Crows first game at the Gallagher Stadium.
Our first game at the Gallagher Stadium will be an FA Cup Extra-Preliminary tie against Lingfield FC, a team we played many times previously in the old Sussex County Football League and even played twice in our first season in the Southern Counties East Football League back in 2014/15 when both teams moved across.
At the end of that season, Lingfield asked to go back to what is now the Southern Combination Football League but at Step 6 rather than Step 5 which meant they effectively relegated themselves to Division 1 rather than stay in the Premier Division.
As the experience of getting to the Gallagher Stadium will be new to all of us here are some guidance notes.
If arriving by car via the M20 (junction 6) or the M2 (junction 3), follow signs to Maidstone on the A229, at the White Rabbit roundabout, take the third exit on to James Whatman Way. PLEASE NOTE: There is NO parking at the Gallagher Stadium at present on match days for spectators.
There are pay and display car parks nearby at Invicta House, a five minute walk away from the ground. Another pay and display car park is in Sandling Road, again, a five minute walk away, then there's Maidstone East Train Station, a seven minute walk away and Fremlin Walk, a ten minute walk away.
If arriving by train there are two stations available, Maidstone East on the London/Ashford International line and Maidstone Barracks which is on the Medway Valley line.
Buses that serve James Whatman Way are the 101 and 155 from the Mall Bus Station. They take you to the top of James Whatman Way, outside the Library and History Centre.
