Match Preview

First ever meeting in the FA Cup.
Our hosts have played two games so far this season and both have ended 3-2, the first match was an FA Cup tie away at Hassocks FC, hence the reason we're visiting them for this game and then last Saturday they lost 3-2 at home in their only game in the SCEFL so far this season to Beckenham Town.
As we found out in our last fixture of the 2016/17 campaign, going to Star Meadow is never easy, especially if you need a win. Those of you who've been there before will remember the pitch has a marked slope from one touch line to the other and also slopes from one goal to the other, although the surface is normally pretty good, if a bit on the small side to me personally.
In McDonald they have one of the most prolific strikers in the league but I have no knowledge as to the nature of the squad for this season, whether some have departed for pastures new, who has stayed and what new signings they may have made.
I'm sure though that whatever side the Blair put out it will compete for every single ball and we'll have to be at our best if we're to get a positive result.
