Message about the recent tragedy at Thurston Rangers

1 year ago By Sam Vail

The passing of Josh Gilbert (Thurston Rangers).

Re: Josh Gilbert (Thurston Rangers)

Many of you will already know of Josh’s unexpected death on Saturday, whilst playing alongside his mates at Hadleigh.

Josh suffered a heart-attack, and could not be revived.

We know that several Clubs have already expressed their condolences to Thurston RFC, and we are sure that the Club will have taken great comfort from these.

Our President, Ian Forton, has asked that all EC Clubs should show respect to Josh, and his family, by holding a minute’s silence before kick-off on Saturday 23rd. September, and asks you to comply.

Further details of Josh’s Funeral will be posted on our website, once known, but we would ask you to respect his family’s need for privacy whilst they come to terms with their terrible loss.

Yours Sincerely
Roger Pierson
