2011/12 Tournaments - Southerns Qualifiers
Cardiff put in their best performance for many years at Southerns! They outshined everyones' best expectations of them to claim a well-deserved 2nd place. They were also the only team to beat 1st place Birmingham, however they were unlucky to lose a match to 8th place Bristol. Combined with a close draw against Kent, Cardiff finished one point behind Birmingham; the team which everyone tipped to dominate the tournament.

Exeter unfortunately did not qualify for Nationals this year. Cardiff's aim for top 4 was surpassed as they reached 2nd but unfortunately could not snatch first place from Birmingham.
The top 4 teams go into the Nationals seeded and will therefore avoid the best of the Northern teams.
Special mention to Jonquil Nash, first team captain, who also claimed MVP (Female) of the entire tournament!! Massive congratulations to her, the team and to the coach who brought them there. Roll on Nationals!
