During a crucial local derby game with Tiverton, one of the players at Cullompton Rugby Club dies in mysterious circumstances halfway through the second half. The police are called in, evidence is gathered, and the main suspects are asked to attend the Cullompton Rugby Club HQ in Stafford Lane for questioning.

Chief Inspector Hobbs of the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary is leading the investigation and tonight, during a meal at the clubhouse, he is determined to get to the truth.

As the investigation unfolds all is not as it seems and further tensions and revelations come to light before another death occurs.

All the clues will be there to lead to the right conclusion but will they be correctly deduced? Inspector Hobbs, with the help of the other guests, must get to the truth before the night is over!
