This derby against the newly reformed Ayr team was played at the old racecourse due to Millbrae also being frozen. Cumnock had set to emulate the performance of last weeks win in the national bowl.

With the return of Stacy and Ayisha to the forwards and Rowan to scrum half Cumnock had possibly their strongest squad.

From the long Ayr kickoff fullback Chloe Blackwood collected perfectly and made a powerful run breaking a few Ayr tackles and with support from Chloe McDougall who made a long pass to Bronwyn for her first try. From the restart Cumnock knocked on and from the Ayr scrum Cumnock took one against the head and from the resulting play, captain McCreath was over for the second. There was much of the same to follow as Nicola (Usain) Murray and Chloe Blackwood both added to the score line with some great interactive play between forwards and backs.

Roan Kerr also made a break from her own half and was stopped just short of scoring the bonus point try and took a heavy knock to her ankle, resulting in her having to leave the pitch.

The Ayr team started to make some good breaks due to the reshuffling of the Cumnock squad and their centre scored a fantastic solo try.

This woke up the Cumnock squad and Tara Wallace and Abigail were relentless in their efforts, always breaking the gain line and the following up with strong tackling, Tara this week being Player of the match.

The now rampant Cumnock added further scores and put the game well to bed with try of the day from Terri Mcdonald who evaded 3 Ayr defenders to score in the corner.

Cumnock were awarded praise from the supporters of both teams and the Ayr coach, another great performance by the team had been well rewarded with a large score. The scorers wre Bronwyn 4, Chloe Blackwood 1, Julie 2, Nicola 2, Tara 2, Terri 1
