The game was called off early after a spate of second half injuries left Glasgow East unable to continue, but the Broomfield side could be pleased with their efforts which reinforces their position at the top of the league.
Cumnock got off to the best possible start with Sean Fulton galloping clear straight from kick-off. The ball was recycled with David Kerr going close before Fulton picked up and drove over for the opening score. Jayson McMillan was on target with the conversion.
Kerr was next on the scoreboard after a big hit by Pete Berrett on the East stand-off dislodged the ball and the flanker gathered the loose ball to clear the defence and score.
Cumnock were well on top, with powerful breaks from the front five players making space out wide for the backs, with Jayson McMillan punching holes from outside centre.
However, it was Donald Hunter who crashed over from close range after a quick tap penalty.
Cumnock kept the pressure on and quickly wrapped up the four-try bonus point when hooker paul miller broke through some weak tackles to score under the posts, before he converted his own score.
With the bonus point in the bag Cumnock eased off the pressure slightly and Glasgow East briefly had a spell of possession, though solid defence from the Ayrshire side meant that they never looked in real danger of conceding.
Cumnock were quickly back on the attack, with Graham Montgomery and Blair McMillan making inroads with the ball in hand, before the ball was spun wide, with Martin Thomson cutting a clever angle through the East defence to touch down.
They extended their lead moments later when Jayson McMillan spotted a gap on the blindside and fed Stephen Taylor who finished off the move.
Cumnock were well on top, but stuck to their patterns of play well, where in previous games they had broken down into individual glory-hunting
Jamie Hodge, who had switched from the second row into the back row for this game was next on the score sheet, diving over from close in after a series of drives from the forwards.
At half-time coaches Jim Morrison and Stevie Miller reaffirmed that the team should take the chance to work through their game plan ahead of a tough run of games coming up against the teams leading the chase behind pace setters Cumnock in the league.
To that end the forwards set up a driving maul with aim of spinning the ball wide. However, space opened up next to the maul and mark linden kept up the front rows' try scoring habit by breaking clear.
Cumnock started to make use of the subs bench with James Gibbs making an immediate impact with a rampaging run straight from a kick-off.
By this stage Glasgow East were starting to tire due to their defensive chores and they also started to lsoe players to injury, not helping their effort.
Jamie Hodge grabbed his second try after quick hands from Hunter and Kerr put him in space, and the flanker showed a good turn of pace to outstrip the defending winger to add to the scoreboard.
Replacement hooker Andy McCrorie looked to be on course for a spectacular solo try after breaking from fifty metres out. However, he was caught just short, found Blair McMillan in support who offloaded back to McCrorie who deservedly dropped over the line for the try.
With Glasgow East losing further players to injury, Cumnock looked set to rack up a massive scoreline, especially after Thomson carved through the defence from full back for his second try, swiftly followed by a score from Mike Burnside, who was making his first appearance of the season.
However, with Glasgow East picking up another injury, the referee was forced to blow time on the match with 22 minutes still to run.
Cumnock still collect full points and keep their 100 per cent league record intact as they head into a tough run of matches, starting with third place Moffat at Broomfield next weekend.
It will be Cumnock's second home game of the season after four away matches, and coach Miller is hoping to keep the run going.
He said: “It was a great performance, full of power, pace and skill.
“We now need to take these excellent away performances into next weekend which will be a big game and will show us where we really are.”
Man of the match was stand-in skipper David Kerr.
