History
Dacre Banks have two Saturday teams in the Nidderdale Amateur Cricket League and an Evening League side in the Harrogate and District Evening League
Cricket has been played in Dacre Banks since the late 1830's, with the current ground being our fourth home.
The field was given to the local community by Jack Pullan in memory of his son Max who died in the first world war. It is managed by the Dacre & Hartwith Playing Fields Association. The Club do not own the ground. We are in effect tenants who pay a significant annual sum to the playing fields association to be able to use the ground and pavilion.
The great Herbert Sutcliffe (Yorkshire & England) was born a stones throw away from our ground in Summerbridge. The cottage still retains a connection with our club today.
