1. Information for team coaches / managers


We are delighted to see the return of the Darlington RFC Mini & Junior Festival.

Held over two days, on Saturday 4th May and Sunday 5th May, the Festival is open to U7s - U15s, U12 Girls , U14 Girls & U16 Girls.

  • Saturday 4th May: U12s, U13s, U14s & U15s
  • Sunday 5th May: U7s, U8s, U9s, U10s & U11s and U12, U14 & U16 Girls

Booking a team into the Festival

Changing rooms
During the Festival, our changing rooms are available for changing into and out of playing kit. Please take all belongings with you. The changing rooms will not be locked and will not be monitored. Access to changing rooms is for coaches and other authorised people in possession of valid RFU DBS clearance only. No parents allowed. There are no shower facilities. We accept no liability for the loss or damage to any personal belongings left unattended within the changing rooms. We accept no liability for any injury within the changing rooms. See General Festival Rules point 18.

First aiders
As per RFU regulations, your Club must provide a first aider per team entered into the Festival. Our site will be fully covered by first responders and advanced first aiders provided by TD Med. Darlington RFC will also provide additional pitch-side first aiders.

Parking
Parking is available on site (parking charges payable on arrival)
- Coaches/minibus £20 - by advance booking only. Please email festival@blackwellmeadows.co.uk to book your coach space.
- Cars £5 - no advance booking required. Limited car parking spaces.

Photography
Darlington RFC employs a professional photographer to take high quality action images which will be available after the Festival via a web link (to be provided).

Please notify your players’ parents / carers that by attending the Darlington RFC Minis and Juniors Festival they are providing consent for photographs to be taken by the professional photographer. Parents / carers who do not wish photographs to be taken of their player/s must advise their team manager before the Festival and team managers must make the Festival control room know at registration.

Referees and touch judges
Clubs are required to provide a referee and touch judge per team entered into the Festival; your referee will officiate a neutral game within their age group. A touch judge can officiate at a game involving their team.

Running order on the day
• Registration: please can a lead member of your age group confirm your team’s arrival at the registration desk located at the main entrance to the clubhouse.
• Matches: start as per timings in the brochure. Please ensure these timings are strictly adhered to.
