"The Total Soccer Centre" was founded in 1998 by Iain Lester whose aim was to provide a facility where children of all ages & abilities could enjoy the great game of football in a Fun & Safe Environment and develop their football skills and learning
The first coaching session took place on 31st January 1998 at Heathfield School whilst awaiting facilities at Hummersknott School to which we moved in February 1998.
The popularity of our coaching sessions was such that in November 1998, "The Total Soccer Centre" became a Professional Coaching Centre operating on a full time basis.
We stayed at Hummersknott School until January 2002 when we moved our base to nearby Carmel Technology College where we remain to this date. With coaching sessions running throughout the week, at weekends and Football Fun & Technique Courses during all school holidays, The Total Soccer Centre has grown year on year to provide a Fun & Safe Football Environment for children of all ages and abilities to learn and enjoy the game of football.
In 2006, we were extremely proud to announce our first Academy signing as James Beauchamp, who had been with the Centre since he was four years old, joined the Middlesbrough FC Academy.
Also, Maddy, Lauren & Nicole from our Girl's Section all attended Middlesbrough FC's Development Centre.
The 2007-08 season saw the start of an exciting future for the Club and Centre as the natural expansion of our teams sees the CLub secure an additional facility at Blackwell Meadows. With changing rooms for eight teams, a fully equipped gym room, match officials changing rooms, both mini soccer and 11-a-side pitches and a full bar and function suite facility, we can progress the social side of the Club for players and families.
At the same time, the Club image was re-branded with a modernistic Club Badge and the Club colours adjusted to Royal & Black as opposed to the original Royal & White.
