Well Done to our U9s players, parents and supporters for a great day at the TJFA League Cup Final !

A big “Well Done” to our U9s who represented the Club magnificently at the TJFA League Cup Final on Sunday.

Although they didn’t come away with the Cup, they all performed superbly and our congratulations go to Hartlepool St Francis who were worthy winners.

It was a fantastic experience for all the children to play on superb pitches, at a superb facility and at the prestigious TJFA Cup Finals and one they will hopefully remember for a long time.

The Blue & Black Army was very noticeable thanks mostly to the huge flags and noisy cheerleaders !

The afternoon at the Walworth Castle was great fun (thanks to Rachel & Chris for their hospitality) with the mass football match at the end being a spectacle in itself with an array of technical genius on display – and that was just the Dads as the eagerly awaited photographs will show !

Highlight of the post final footy match ? ….. Matty Kent’s dad’s dazzling Maradona’s ? Nathan Lamb’s Dad’s tree dodging dribbling ? Neil Graham’s 7 iron sliced pass to Kate ? All worthy of mention but top sot has to go to Malcolm Kidd getting tackled by a lamp post – wait for the photos !

It was a wonderful end to a fantastic day that the children will look back on and treasure and will hopefully be the first of many fun days.
Thanks must go to all the parents and supporters who got behind the children and supported them magnificently throughout the game and made the afternoon so much fun. A big thank you must go to Claire Chyrstal who worked hard to organise the day and did a fantastic job but most importantly, thanks to all the children who did magnificently well to get to the Finals Day and were a credit to themselves, their parents and the Club.

Well Done Everyone !
