DARTFORDIANS RFC

Youth Section Rules

Dartfordians RFC is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all its members. The club believes that it is important that members s, coaches ,administrators and parents associated with the club should, at all times, show respect be encouraged to be open at all times and to share any concerns or complaints that they may have about any aspect of the club with any member of the committee or the Child Welfare Officer. Names of all officials are attached to these rules.

As a member of Dartfordians RFC you are expected to abide by the following club rules and take notice of the Club’s Codes of Conduct.

All members must play within the rules and respect officials and their decisions.

All members must respect their opponents in victory or defeat. You are playing
to enjoy not only to win.

Players are expected to turn up promptly for training and matches and inform their
Head coach if they are unavailable.

Players should wear club kit for all matches and wear suitable clothing for training.
This includes Dartfordians shirts, shorts, socks, a proper gum shield, IRB approved body protection (if required) and rugby boots with appropriate studs. Players should also bring adequate clothing to keep dry and warm at training sessions and matches.

Members must pay their subscriptions promptly. (Prior to the end of October of that playing season) Junior membership for all players under 19 is £60 per annum which includes playing membership for any siblings and social membership for the rest of the family.

Junior members are not allowed to smoke, consume alcohol or drugs on club premises or whilst representing the club at competitions.

Players must behave at all times when training or representing the club. Remember the Club’s reputation is at stake.

Discipline

Dartfordians RFC regards discipline both on and off the field as sacrosanct.

Dartfordians RFC regards the authority of the referee on the field as beyond question and the club will encourage all players and spectators to respect that authority. In case of breach of discipline on the field Dartfordians RFC will follow the guidelines and regulations encapsulated in the RFU rules and the disciplinary procedures contained in the RFU Handbook.

In case of a breach of Dartfordians RFC rules other than on the field of play, the person or persons perpetrating the breach of rules or Club Codes of Conduct will be referred to the Disciplinary Committee for consideration. Depending on the nature of the breach, the club shall have the right to terminate that person’s or those people’ membership forthwith. Youth Committees

Each section shall meet every quarter starting the beginning of August each year to discuss and make decisions for the benefit of those sections of Dartfordians RFC. All Sections should meet together at least twice a year to discuss general activities at the club and suggest ideas and improvements back to the main Committee.

Those Officers marked * shall report back to the main club committee at its monthly meetings.

Coaches and parents will be co-opted onto the committee for their input. The main Club Chairman may attend these meetings at any time.
