Following on from the fantastic amount of money raised at the Ollie Augustin Memorial 7s Day in August the Club has been speaking with Ollie's father.

Sean, Ollie's dad, said ''Firstly can I thank you for hosting Ollie's remembrance game it means a lot to the family and helps the charity that was close to his heart.''

''The charity that was close to Oliver was the Nakuru orphanage in Kenya. He visited on his gap year and worked there for six months. It was a life changing event and for the rest of his short life he did charity fund raising for it,

The orphanage takes children living on the streets, some as young as three or four fending for themselves, children that have run away from sexual abuse and violence and boy soldiers.''

Sean did provide other charities in the UK, but the Clubs Management Team agreed to donate the £2500 to the Nakuru Orphanage which is currently raising money to build a new boys house. The Nakuru Orphanage explained that they are in the process to raise funds for a new Boys House. ( For now we have about USD 70000, but we need a total of about USD 350000 )

In 2007 they finished a nice new house for the girls, where we are housing 65 girls in good facilities.

After that we started to fundraise for a new boys house, but before we had raised much money the government of Kenya demanded that we build better facilities for our free school for 500 unfortunate children.

Because of the school building project, the project with the boys house has been postponed, but now we are ready to continue from where we reached some years ago.

From 2011 – 2014 we have been fundraising for a new 3 story school building and we just finished this year and the children

If the fundraising for the boys house will go well, we expect to start building in the middle or end of 2015 and in 2016 there will probably be something you can help with.
