Darts travelled to Alleynians with a much changed side
Darts travelled to Alleynians with a much changed side and faced a well organised and fast running side. Darts scrum and lineout was working well with Cameron Murphy putting in a man of the match performance whilst moving to loose head. Lewis Potter was very good in the lineout showing what he has learnt from his recent experience in the 1st team dominating our lineout as well as taking some of the oppositions. It was the Alleynians backs however who had the upper hand showing more structure and purpose. Their determination was exceptional and the never say die attitude led them to what was a deserved although slightly flattering win. The Demons failed to turn pressure into points at vital times but when they did Curley, Crouch and Wilson all scored decent tries. This is a tough league which we can compete in but with so many changes it is difficult to keep the consistency of performance. It was great to see all the Angels players who stepped up to the plate and also to Chris Barker who was called up from the Saints at the last minute.
