Grand Opening of New Pitch & VP Lunch image
Yes its finally here and the new pitch will be used for its first team game on Saturday March 31st. This is a huge day for the club and are delighted that Colin Haslam, President of Herts RFU will be joining us during the day and formally opening the pitch. A formal luncheon will be held from midday which will include all our VP's and invited guests.

The pitch will be opened at 14:50 prior to kick off. The actual match on the day is against Barnet Elizabethans. If you have kept up with the results recently you will see that we have just moved out of the relegation zone but every game is crucial. After a close loss away at Barnet this is a game that Datchworth can win and really MUST win to secure their London NW3 league status. Come along and support and be the difference.

There are other matches happening earlier in the day so if you fancy a game then now is the time to get those boots back on. Speak to one of the captains to get yourself on the team list.

After the game its a very simple plan of retiring to the bar to drink the night away with old friends. Hope you can make it.

The long awaited pitch opening is nearing fast, and we are inviting individuals and businesses to help with sponsorship by taking a pitchside advertising space measuring approximately 1m x 2m, which will be displayed at all home matches for our first XV in London NW3 league. We are also hosting the County Colts Cup and Shield finals on Sunday 15th April 2012 when the pitch will also be used and all pitch advertising displayed. To advertise and support the club please contact either Ian Little tel. 01438 811226 or mob. 07775-706384 or Allan Leggetter Club Chairman, thank you.
