Mini Tour

For several years Datchworth Minis section has participated in The Kingswood Rugby Festival Hosted by Holt RFC. We extend this tournament into a two night tour for the Minis section (Under 7’s to Under 12’s) from the Friday evening until the completion of the Rugby festival on the Sunday afternoon. We have booked the facilities and accommodation at Hilltop outdoor activity centre near Sheringham in North Norfolk.
The weekend consists of meeting at Hilltop (making your own transport arrangements), early on the Friday evening where we will provide some entertainment and a tuck shop for the children and of course a bar for the adults.
On Saturday there will be outward bound style activities throughout the day, such as zip wires and climbing walls; we will seek to make sure an opportunity arises for parents, coaches and managers to have a go at the activities where possible. Late on Saturday afternoon we will run a short Rugby Training session for all players in their age groups. We will finish off with a game of Touch Rugby for all Coaches, Parents and Managers!
Sunday is the main Rugby event with our participation in the highly competitive Holt RFC Kingswood Festival tournament. The weekend provides players and families a fantastic opportunity to have fun with their team mates and firm up friendships across the age groups. The feedback from Last year was very positive and children and adults alike had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend.
