Today Daventry entertained Wellingborough in a League fixture, thank you to todays ref Peter lyes.
Two league points scored!!!!!
The team started with determination and battled for possession and started to run the match. Both sides tackling well, before great ball released Joe Barlow
to race into the corner for the opening score. Both teams then fought for every inch on the pitch with Daventry dominating the half but unable to add further scores.
Daventry started the second half on fire and quickly worked short side move to release Joe Barlow

Wellingborough awoke and battled had for the remaining 10 minutes but solid defence kept them from a score.
Bailey, Richard and Callum

Kibb and Kieran calling the tempo, Callum
paired with Robbie for the first time working well, Joe safe and quick at full back, wingers George and Oliver fantastic in attack.Tyler and Josh having big impacts as replacements in the final 10 minutes.
This was a super performance and the large crowd were delighted with the high standard of rugby by both teams today.

The squad is unbeaten in the month of january and have scored 80 points in two matches and conceded none, for the month we have scored 109 points and conceded 10 well done to all the players, hard work in training delivers results on the pitch.
A fantastic effort by all the squad both players and also our water man, first aider, linesman (even if some flag waving was not needed JS) and as always the band of merry supporters.
Today was a super sunday, we look forward to many more.
