Danes first season players Leo Watts (Mom) and Brandon Smith made and impressive start, both playing up front. Jamie Ridley played mid field with, Freddie Price, Ciaran Allibone and Harvey Walker taking their turn to hold up the defence and play the ball back up the field.

Some hard tackling and pressure on crick found them exposed at times and although holding their shape better than the Danes had no answer to Leo Watts speed with the ball from his own half to beat the keeper in the 9th minute. Great build up play seeing Jamie Ridley go past two players only to run out of steam in the goal area.

Crick pressured well but with two Danes players closing them down quickly didn’t finish the chances they had created.

An easy morning’s work for goalie Daniel Ramsden (captain) being tested on only a couple of occasions. 1 - 0 at half time.

Having four fresh legs on at half time the Danes experience showed with Crick being dispossessed on more than one occasion Danes counter attacks exposed Cricks defence hitting the wood work twice and many shots on target credit to Lennon Green (ex Danes u7 goalie) for keeping the ball out of the net for so long, but with the Danes pressing hard and movement off the ball Ciaran Allibone’s left wing run cutting inside to play into space for Oliver Edginton to drive home Danes second of the match in the 25th minute.

A great match from both teams with crick showing more resilience on this return match. Good luck to both teams for the last part of the season
