A sensational man-of-the-match save by goalkeeper Decklyn Hartley secured Saxons a well-earned point in a thoroughly entertaining end-to-end game which was a credit to both teams. Diving low to his right, he somehow managed to deflect the ball round the post to deny Wooldale a certain goal.

Saxons deservedly took the lead when the outstanding Nayan Bryce's shot took a wicked deflection into the net.

However, an immediate reply from Wooldale meant that Saxons' celebrations were short-lived as they were punished for not clearing their lines effectively.

In the second half, both teams had their chances to secure the win although Saxons failed to build on the attacking threat shown in the first half. A number of chances went begging with no one on hand to finish in front of goal which let Wooldale off the hook.
