With a number of new players having signed for the Town in the last couple of weeks, here are some initial profiles we have put together for you.

JONATHAN BUKASA

Midfield

JB is a left sided full back/midfielder who signed for Town at the start of this season. He has already formed a good understanding with KB down the left side. After having a spell playing for Portuguese outfit Rio Maior in Portugal, the 20 year old returned to the UK and played for Bedford Town and Kettering Town. Jon scored for Kettering against Town in a Red Insure Cup match.

NEIL CHAMPELOVIER

Midfield

`Champs` became our Assistant Manager after playing at Daventry United four years ago, when Darran Foster was Manager at the club.
He was with Northampton Town between 1999 and 2002 before moving on to Oklahoma City Stars, Brackley Town, Oxford City, Aylesbury United, Woodford United and Cogenhoe United.
After leaving Town in November 2014, `Champs` spent the reminder of the season as assistant manager at Bedford Town before reuniting with Darran Foster at Communications Park via a brief spell at Woodford United.

ADAM CONFUE

Midfield

Daventry based “Congy” spent 2014/2015 with AFC Rushden and Diamonds and was pivotal in their successful title campaign. Having played in well over 300 games for the Town, Confue is the only remaining player on the books from the club’s memorable trip to Chesterfield in the first round of the FA Cup in 2013/2014. His 100% commitment makes him a firm fans favourite.

DAN CHILDS

Midfield

The 21 year old midfielder is another to return to his former club following the management team back to Communications Park.

ADAM CREANEY

Defender

Another local product, the 20 year old completed a scholarship in the States before returning to the UK. After International Clearance was granted, Adam has joined Town for the 2015/2016 campaign.

JOE CURTIS

Midfield

Having been with Leicester City as a 16 year old, Joe moved to the South Coast with Southampton, where he signed a professional contract. After impressing in both their u18s and getting promoted to their u21s, Joe suffered a serious ligament injury. The 20 year old featured for both Brackley Town and Kettering Town in 2014/2015 before joining Town at the start of the season.

BARRY DEACON

Midfield

Deacon was a finalist in the Samsung’s nationwide “Win A Pro Contract” competition after winning Man Of The Match in his semi-final trial. The 21 year old is now back for his second spell with Daventry Town after spending the second half of last season at Coalville Town.

YANN EDIMO

Defender

The Frenchman has previously played for Fresnoy Le Grand before moving to the UK and joining Kettering Town. He later played for Kings Lynn Town before impressing at Town in pre-season friendlies. He will join Town subject to International Clearance.

KIERAN FITZGERALD

Forward

19 year old South African born Fitzgerald is another player who is back for his second spell with Town after Darren Foster returned as Manager. Kieran is a former Northampton Town Scholar who originally joined the club on a dual registration with Brackley Town at the start of the 2014/2015 season. Kieran moved to St Ives following Foster’s resignation but returned at the start of the season.

BEN HEATH

Goalkeeper

Ben is another former Northampton Town Scholar who joined the club at the start of the 2014/2015 season along with Kieran Fitzgerald. The young keeper was man of the match in a number of games last year and Town supporters voted him runner up in their player of the season.

RICKY HILL

Defender

The big Coventry based defender is in his second season with Town. The 23 year old has previously played for Coventry Sphinx. His long throw causes chaos in the opposition’s box. Only an injury towards the end of the season prevent Ricky from being ever present in 2014/2015.

JASON LEE

Defender

Daventry based Lee is another player returning for his second spell with the club however “JayLee” took longer to return than most. Having been on the books of Aston Villa and Tottenham as a junior, Lee originally joined Kettering Town as a 17 year old striker in August 2000. He later played for Cogenhoe United, Long Buckby, Raunds Town before joining Town the first time round in 2010. Lee later had spells at Banbury United and Kings Lynn before returning to Kettering Town for their successful title challenge last season. Jason will proudly wear the captain’s armband for Town this season.

KARABO MOTSHWENI

Midfield

Another new and exciting prospect, 21 year old KB plays down the left flank and has already formed a good understanding with Jon Bukasa. Scored on his debut against Stafford Rangers. He was with Northampton Sileby Rangers last season.

ROBERT PRINZEL

Midfield

Signed on the eve of the season, Robert joins us from Coventry United. Made his first appearance for Town when he came off the bench v Stafford Rangers.

MAX RISBY

Utility

Play anywhere Max joined us from Newport Pagnell Town at the start of the season. Another acquisition in August 2015.

NABIL SHARIFF

Forward

23 year old striker began his career at Rushden and Diamonds and made 11 appearances for them in the Conference in 2011. Nabil then moved to Tamworth and played a further 24 matches in the Conference North before moving on to Oxford City, Banbury United, Stamford and Belper Town before joined Daventry Town in August 2015. The striker has already impressed in front of goal having scored freely in the pre-season friendlies.


JAMES TRICKS

Forward

The former Kings Lynn striker played his first game for Daventry Town in the 2-0 home victory over AFC Hayes in December 2014. The 21 year old played for the youth team at Boston United and was one of the first names on the team sheet during the 2014/2015 campaign.


TOMMY WALDOCK

Winger

The 27 year old winger moved from Woodford United along with “Fozzy” and “Champs” Tommy comes from good stock with his uncle Des Waldock widely reported as being one of the best players to pull on a Daventry Town shirt.
