Town came away from Bedfont wandering what would have been in an ill tempered match which saw 2 sendings off and 3 bookings.
Bedfont had the better of the first half hour causing problems down the middle of the defence which saw Mellings make several saves. But Joe
brought down a Forward which resulted in a penalty. Man of the match Tommy Brewer took the penalty and dispatched it past the outstretched keeper. Town got themselves back into the game and created a few chances of their own, Confue and Berwick going close. Then O'Grady had a fantastic goal disallowed for offside, a strange decision because when O'Grady received the ball the Linesman didn't put his flag up. Just before half time O'Grady had a shot saved by Gary Ross, the ball fell to Berwick who has felled by the keeper for a penalty.
Tommy ran and put the ball to the keepers right and Ross saved it.
Second half was all one way for 15-20 minutes, with Tommy Brewer scoring twice, which is a fantastic feat for a mekshift midfielder who normally plays at right back.
The Town started to make chances and one chance from Berwick was well saved by Ross. The game ended with Robinson and Ross being sent off after an off the ball incident whilst a player was getting treatment. There was a serious amount of provocation by several local supporters which could have escalated, and although both sets of players had left the pitch to ensure no further incidents would happen, the game ended at 3-0.
Great respect to Stewart from Bedfont Town for helping make sure no further incidents happened on the day.
