Tunbridge Wells 5 Deal Town 0

Deal left Culverden pointless after a 5-0 defeat

Deal were defeated 5-0 by high flying Tunbridge Wells on Saturday.

The referee kicked off this match 3 minutes early and as a result Deal found themselves 1-0 down before 3pm as in their first attack in the second minute, Tunbridge Wells won a penalty when Dave Bathgate tripped Keelan Mooney, Andy McMath converting. Deal, as in recent weeks, regrouped and probably shaded an even first half.

In the second minute of the second half, Ryan Rook cut in from the left and ghosted into the box to double the home sides advantage and as the game progressed and Deal went looking for a way back into the game (which they almost did hitting the bar and post on a number of occasions), Wells caught them on the break 3 times in the last few minutes.

The difficult run of away games continues on Saturday away to VCD
